The Role

The Investment Analyst will work closely with our Partners and Principals, helping Avaana in identifying India’s most exciting early-stage entrepreneurs, and then supporting them to scale up their ventures, thereby delivering extraordinary returns for our investors.

Key Responsibilities:

The Analyst will be responsible for:

• Supporting our portfolio companies by providing value adds to their growth plans and strategic initiatives, in conjunction with the Investment Manager
• Helping Avaana in prioritizing, and building an investment thesis for sectors and opportunities
• Supporting the Investment Manager on the investment evaluation process from start to end
• Helping source exciting start-ups through networks (college, friends etc) and / or through research
• Leading / supporting key initiatives and processes on the pipeline, portfolio or platform fronts

Required Qualifications and Attributes:

• Undergrad degree from a premier institute (IITs, NITs, BITS, Premier colleges – engineering or commerce).
• 1-3 years of work experience across consulting(Transaction Advisory) / IB or start-ups, understanding of business modelling, financial reports will be an added advantage.
• Passionate about early stage investing, technology and start-ups
• You are curious and have a strong orientation towards learning.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
